Special education teachers also create Individualized Education Programs, assess students’ progress, supervise teaching assistants, and collaborate with other school professionals.

Special Education Teacher Requirements

Every state requires public school educators to be licensed and certified. The specifics of these certifications vary by state, so make sure to check with your state's regulatory laws.
