K-12 Virtual Special Education Teacher

Procare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced K-12 Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024 school year. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students while enjoying the flexibility of a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual special education instruction to K-12 students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
• Utilize virtual platforms and technology to facilitate engaging and interactive lessons.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience in virtual or remote teaching preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in using virtual learning platforms and technology.

Requirements:

• Must be available to work full-time hours (35-37.5 hours/week).
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, suitable workspace.
• Comfortable with technology and virtual teaching tools.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Contract Details:

This position is a 1099 employment contract with Procare Therapy for the duration of the 2024 school year, from January to June. Compensation will be provided on an hourly basis.
