Procare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher for the 2024 school year in Chicago, IL. As a contracted 1099 employee with Procare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to K-12 students with special needs through virtual platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging and effective virtual lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special needs.
• Provide virtual instruction, support, and accommodations to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other professionals to create and maintain an inclusive virtual learning environment.
• Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to track students' academic and developmental growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education for K-12.
• Previous experience in virtual or remote teaching is preferred.
• Strong technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

• Availability to work full-time hours (35-37.5 hours/week) during the 2024 school year (January - June).
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated virtual teaching space.
• Compliance with Procare Therapy's policies and procedures.
• Ability to pass a background check and any additional required screenings.
