Description: We are seeking an experienced and licensed psychologist to join our team for a full-time position, starting immediately until the end of the school year, with the opportunity to continue through the next school year. This role involves providing psychological services and support across 6 elementary schools in the Alexandria area.

As we are new to offering virtual psychological services, we are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience in telehealth/virtual counseling. However, we welcome applications from both virtual and onsite candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students
• Provide individual and group counseling/therapy sessions virtually or in-person
• Develop treatment plans and intervention strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff on student needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Stay up-to-date on laws, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university
• Current psychology license in good standing in the state of Louisiana
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in telehealth platforms and virtual counseling (for virtual candidates)
• Flexibility and ability to work in different school environments
