Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Position Overview: Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, collaborating with students, families, and educational professionals to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct instruction in core subjects and specialized skills like Braille literacy.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff for inclusive education.
- Support families and provide resources for student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Arizona teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairments (VI).
- Previous experience with visually impaired students preferred.
- Knowledge of Braille literacy and assistive technology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
