ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate Teacher for the Visually Impaired this upcoming school year for a contract position located right outside the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.

Position Overview: As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with visual impairments to access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and achieve academic success. You will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and other professionals to create customized learning experiences that meet the unique needs of each student. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with visual impairments and promote inclusivity and accessibility in education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field.
• Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) (or eligibility for certification/licensure).
• Previous experience working with students with visual impairments, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of visual impairment characteristics, assessment techniques, and instructional strategies.
• Proficiency in braille literacy and familiarity with assistive technology for students with visual impairments.

• Working in a team of visually impaired teachers with one orientation and mobility specialist (team of 5)
