Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)- contract job

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time position in Houston, TX. This role involves providing visual impairment services and evaluations, participating in ARD meetings, and offering consults. Part-time availability will also be considered.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience with visual impairment services and evaluations
• Ability to participate in ARD meetings and provide consults
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments
• Conduct evaluations to assess students' needs
• Collaborate with educational teams and attend ARD meetings
• Offer consultative support to educators, parents, and students
• Adapt materials and instructional strategies to meet individual needs
