Title: Teacher Aide

Location: Fullerton, CA

Description:

Our school district in Marysville, MI is seeking a passionate teacher aide. Assists students with healthcare procedures including hygiene and medications as needed for daily care. Assists students with assistive technology devices, including communication devices, switches and orthopedic devices needed for sitting, walking, or standing.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students in the classroom, under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education staff
• Must have behavior experience.
• Work one-on-one with students who have special needs or require additional support
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional growth of all students
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies

Position Details:

• 1:1 or classroom positions.
• Highschool openings.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the students and classroom.
