Summer School Paraprofessionals - Cupertino, CA

Job Description: As a Summer School Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other school staff to provide support and assistance in various educational settings. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting students with academic tasks, under the direction of certified teachers.
• Providing one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supporting students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
• Supervising students during classroom activities, transitions, and outdoor recess.
• Collaborating with teachers and school administrators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assisting with classroom organization, materials preparation, and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or childcare setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Clearance of background check and fingerprinting (if required by school district).

Contract Details:

• Location: Cupertino, CA
• Duration: Summer school session (specific dates TBD)
• Hours: Full-time or part-time positions available
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
