Job Title: Paraprofessionals
Location: Topsham, ME
Duration: ASAP - End of School Year

Job Description:
We are actively seeking Paraprofessionals to join our team in Topsham, ME, for the remainder of the current school year. These positions are full-time, hourly contract roles with an immediate start date and continuation through the end of the school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to students with diverse needs across various grade levels, ranging from elementary to high school.
• Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, math, and other classroom activities.
• Support students with special needs in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom instruction.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of certified teachers and special education staff.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting their social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other members of the educational team to ensure students' needs are met effectively.
• Provide supervision and support during transitions, lunchtime, recess, and other non-academic activities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with students, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred).
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
• Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classrooms or with students of varying ages and abilities.
• Willingness to follow directions and support the implementation of educational plans and interventions.
• Must be available to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday, during the school day.
