ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in the Parklawn, CA area. This opportunity is available for the full 24/25 school year, providing stability and continuity for both the SLPA and the students they will be working with.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Work Schedule: 6 hours per day, 5 days a week
• Caseload: Elementary students
• Site: 1 location

Responsibilities: As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will work closely with a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to elementary students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the implementation of individualized therapy plans
• Conducting speech and language screenings and assessments
• Leading small group therapy sessions
• Providing support and guidance to students in developing their communication skills
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication goals and strategies

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Communication Disorders or related field
• SLPA certification/license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of California
• Previous experience working with elementary students is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
