  Description:
  We have multiple openings for Special Education Teachers in Portland, ME. These positions are full-time, with opportunities for renewal if the candidate is a good fit. The available positions include:

• District Program (Social/Emotional Needs):

  • Caseload: Around 10 students
  • Preferences: Experience working with students with social/emotional needs

• District Program (ASD Self-Contained):

  • Location: Middle School, Elementary (K-2)
  • Caseload: Max of 6 students (Middle School - 5 students)
  • Preferences: Experience with ASD students, self-contained settings

• District Program (Functional Life Skills):

  • Location: Middle School, High School
  • Caseload: 5-10 students
  • Preferences: Experience with functional life skills curriculum

• Requirements:

• Valid Special Education teaching license in Maine
• Experience working with students with diverse needs
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
