Special Education Teacher - Streamwood, IL

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in academic and behavioral skills.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure students' needs are met.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Special Education teaching license or certification in Illinois.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
