Special Education Teacher (Permanent Position), Modesto, CA
ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team in a permanent, full-time capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional educator to make a lasting impact on the lives of students with special needs.
Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction, support, and advocacy for students with diverse learning abilities and disabilities. You will work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that promote academic success, social-emotional growth, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans tailored to each student's unique needs and IEP goals
- Administer formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure successful inclusion and participation in the least restrictive environment
- Develop positive behavioral support strategies and classroom management techniques
- Establish a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, empathy, and personal growth
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive support system for each student
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
