Position: Special Education Teacher (Contract Position)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Vallejo, CA. In this contract position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students who have a range of special needs, providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and counselors, to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential
- Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
