We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Sheboygan, WI. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a high school setting.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student, tailoring instructional strategies and accommodations to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement effective educational plans for students.
  • Differentiate instruction to address students' individual learning styles, abilities, and interests.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, materials, and technology to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide timely feedback to students and their families.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and provide social-emotional support to help students develop essential skills for success.
  • Collaborate with other members of the school team, such as counselors, therapists, and administrators, to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience for students.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest research and best practices in special education.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Teaching certification in Special Education is required).
  • Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
