Position Overview: As a Special Education Teacher with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality instruction and support to students with disabilities. You will collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs. This position offers the chance to work in a supportive environment where your expertise and compassion can positively impact students' academic and social-emotional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects and skill areas.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure students' needs are met effectively.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student progress and services provided.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid California Special Education teaching credential or eligibility for credentialing.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support students' growth and development.
