Special Education Paraprofessionals In Winterville, NC

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals to work in Winterville, NC. The Special Education Paraprofessional will work closely with special education teachers to support students with disabilities in the classroom setting. Responsibilities:

• Assist special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
• Help students with daily tasks, including academic assignments, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Assist with behavior management strategies and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with other school staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Must meet all state and local requirements for employment as a paraprofessional in a school setting.
