Job Description: Lee County School District is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our team in providing essential support to students with communication needs. As a valued member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and other school staff.
- Full Time
- Hourly Rating:Â $34.00+ / hour (Depending on experience and qualification)
- W-2 Employment Contract for onsite positions
- Full Time employees are eligible for benefits
Qualifications to be a School-Based Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI):
- Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language (ASL), Deaf Studies, or related field preferred
- Certification as an Educational Interpreter (EIPA) or Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification preferred
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and adapt interpretations to meet students' individual needs
