Sign Language Interpreter Needed In La Quinta, CA

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in La Quinta, CA. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students or clients in educational or community settings.
• Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals and hearing individuals.
• Ensure accurate and clear interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other professionals to support the needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., RID, BEI, or equivalent) preferred.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of Deaf culture.
• Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational or community settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to various communication styles and preferences.
