ELA Teacher - Port Chester, NY

Description: We are seeking a certified ELA Teacher to join our State Assessed Therapeutic Support Program for grades 7-12 in Port Chester, NY. The teacher must hold certification in ELA, with SPED certification considered a bonus. This position involves teaching 6 periods of ELA, one for each grade, with a teacher's assistant onsite for support. The majority of students in the program are diagnosed with anxiety or Other Health Impairments (OHI), with no significant behavioral concerns. Class sizes are small, with 8-12 students per class. This position is available immediately and will cover for a medical leave until the end of the school year.

Requirements:

• Certification in ELA
• SPED certification (bonus)
• Experience working with students with anxiety or OHI preferred
