As a Sign Language Interpreter with ProCare Therapy, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, and other school staff to facilitate effective communication and promote academic success. Your responsibilities will include interpreting classroom instruction, individualized education plans (IEPs), and other school-related activities to ensure that students have equal access to educational opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other sign systems
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., RID certification)
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to adapt to various educational environments and support diverse student needs
