Job Description: ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Richmond, CA. In this contract position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students who have diverse learning needs, providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, tailoring instruction to meet their unique learning goals
- Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, using a variety of teaching strategies and accommodations to support student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communication with parents and team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential
- Previous experience working with students with special needs, including knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dedication to meeting the diverse needs of students and promoting their academic and social growth
