Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team at a school in Norridge, IL, for the 24/25 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade and ensuring their social, emotional, and academic success. This is a full-time position with more details to be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Social Work
• Previous experience working as a School Social Worker preferred
• Strong understanding of social-emotional learning principles and interventions
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school social work

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' social and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies to improve students' academic and social outcomes
• Participate in the special education process by attending IEP meetings and providing input on students' social-emotional needs
• Serve as a resource to school staff on issues related to mental health, crisis intervention, and student support services
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions
• Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in school social work
