Position: Student Support Nurse (1:1) - LPN/RN Location: Mocksville, NC Start Date: Immediate End Date: June 11th, 2024

Role Overview:

• Dedicated nursing care for a high school student with specialized medical needs
• Responsibilities include tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and wheelchair assistance
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to ensure holistic student care
• Monitor vital signs, respiratory function, and overall health status during school hours
• Administer medications, treatments, and tube feedings as prescribed
• Assist with positioning, transfers, and mobility using adaptive equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and student health records

Requirements:

• Active LPN or RN license in North Carolina
• Prior experience in pediatric or adolescent care with complex medical conditions
• Proficient in tracheostomy management and ventilator assistance
• Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced educational environment
