ProCare Therapy, a trusted provider of educational staffing solutions, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Albert Lea, MN. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students while working in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.

Position Overview: As a School Psychologist with ProCare Therapy, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral well-being of students in Albert Lea. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling services, and collaborate with school teams to develop and implement effective interventions and supports. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic educational setting where your expertise and passion for helping children thrive will be valued and appreciated.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and supports.
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized plans (IEPs, 504 plans, behavior intervention plans) to address students' needs.
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually and in groups.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress, plan interventions, and make educational decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid Minnesota licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in educational settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, as well as special education laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' well-being and success.
