ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of educational staffing and services, is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in San Diego, CA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Overview: As a School Psychologist with ProCare Therapy, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral well-being of students. Collaborating with school staff, parents, and other professionals, you will conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide counseling services to promote positive outcomes for students. This position provides the chance to work in a dynamic educational setting where your expertise and passion for helping children thrive will be valued and appreciated.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and supports.
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized plans (IEPs, 504 plans, behavior intervention plans) to address students' needs.
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually and in groups.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress, plan interventions, and make educational decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology or eligibility for credentialing.
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in educational settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, as well as special education laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' well-being and success.
