School Psychologist needed in the Pine Ridge, KY Area

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher with expertise in Psych for the 24/25 school year. This is a full-time position based around Pine Ridge, KY, and offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Job Details:

• Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Psych)
• School Year: 23-24
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Testing: Special education & IQ testing
• Referrals: 15-20 referrals at the moment (Evals & reports)
• Re-evaluations: 325 students in Special Education (Re-evals & reports)
• Student Population: 1,100 students in the whole district
• Location: In-person

Responsibilities: As a Special Education Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting special education and IQ testing for students
• Completing evaluations and reports for 15-20 referrals
• Conducting re-evaluations and preparing reports for 325 students in Special Education
• Collaborating with other educators, therapists, and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
• Providing instruction and support tailored to individual student needs
• Monitoring and tracking student progress
• Implementing behavior management strategies
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification or license in Special Education
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, particularly in Psych
• Proficient in conducting special education and IQ testing
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and experience developing and implementing them
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
