School Psychologist needed in Edinburgh, Indiana

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a school-based position in Edinburgh, IN. The chosen candidate will be awarded a contract for the remaining school year and will be responsible for completing evaluations and providing counseling for students with varying levels and types of disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Job Details:

• 35-40 hrs/week
• ASAP until May 28th
• Around 820 students in the school
• 2 buildings, 1 mile apart
• Will renew for next school year too, if it's a good fit
• Zoom interview
• On site position

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student strengths, weaknesses and any behavioral difficulties the child may struggle with
• Develop IEP plans for students based on individual goals. This includes setting achievable goals and using the proper therapy techniques for each individual student’s needs.
• Provide counseling services to students who might be experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, and help them develop coping mechanisms, enhance social skills, and manage stress better.
• Assist in crisis situations if the need ever occurs
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to assist in monitoring progress and in implementing new goals
• Participate in IEP meetings

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in School Psychology
• Active state licensure in Indiana
• Prior experience working in schools is preferred but the school can consider new graduates
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
