Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Monroe, GA
Duration: July 25, 2024 - May 23, 2025

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in Monroe, GA, for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time position with onsite responsibilities spanning 4 to 5 days per week, totaling 32 to 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for special education services, including assessments of cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support students' educational and social-emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties.
  • Support school-wide initiatives related to positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS), social-emotional learning (SEL), and mental health awareness.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determination meetings and IEP conferences, to discuss student progress and develop intervention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, progress notes, and other relevant documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Stay current with research-based practices and professional development opportunities in the field of school psychology.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Georgia.
  • Previous experience conducting psychological evaluations and providing direct services to students in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to administer and interpret a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
