As a School OT, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential by addressing barriers to learning and promoting participation in school activities.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated OT who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in a school setting and possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' needs and promote independence.
- Provide direct therapy services and consultation to support students' academic and functional performance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to implement effective interventions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports to track students' outcomes and communicate with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid New York state license or eligibility for licensure.
- School-based experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
