Job Opening: School Nurse (RN) - High School

Location: Villa Park, IL
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (with 0.5-hour unpaid lunch)
Caseload: Classroom 1:1 support

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated School Nurse (RN) to join our team at a High School in Villa Park, IL. In this role, you will provide nursing support to students in a classroom setting, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day. This position is full-time and requires flexibility for possible bus riding and reassignment if a student is absent.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• Active Paraeducator license in the state of Illinois
• Onsite fingerprinting, TB test, and physical required

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students with diverse healthcare needs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitor students' health conditions and respond to medical emergencies as needed
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote a healthy school environment
• Participate in school-based meetings and committees related to student health and wellness
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding school health services
