School LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist): Menifee, CA

Job Description:

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a compassionate and qualified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Menifee, CA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide therapeutic support to students within the school community. The School LMFT will play a vital role in promoting the emotional and mental well-being of students while collaborating with educators and other professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address students' emotional and mental health needs.
2. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
3. Assess and identify mental health concerns, developing appropriate intervention plans.
4. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
5. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress.
7. Work closely with community resources and mental health agencies for additional support when necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
2. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
3. Previous experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions for children and adolescents.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
6. Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
7. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to school-based mental health services.
