Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join our team in Agate, CO, for the 24’25 school year. The School Counselor will lead our mental health program (BASE) and provide support to students across all grade levels.

Position Details:

• Location: Agate, CO
• Schedule: 32 Hours Per Week, Monday through Thursday
• Caseload: K-12, 81 Students Total
• Start Date: August 12, 2024
• End Date: May 23, 2025

Responsibilities:

• Lead the school's mental health program (BASE) and implement strategies to support students' social-emotional well-being.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students as needed.
• Conduct assessments and develop personalized intervention plans for students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student needs and promote a positive school climate.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students in crisis situations.
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed to address students' academic and emotional needs.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Colorado State School Counselor License or eligibility for licensure.
• Previous experience working as a school counselor preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of best practices in mental health counseling and intervention.
