Requirements

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field, and possession of appropriate state licensure/certification as a School Counselor in California.
• Previous experience working as a School Counselor or in a related counseling role is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and effective counseling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado state standards, college and career readiness standards, and best practices in school counseling.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to establish trusting relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to adapt counseling approaches to meet the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds and abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively engage with stakeholders to support student success.
• Proficiency in using technology for counseling services and record-keeping.

Interviews are generally conducted via Zoom. Depending on the circumstances, pay is negotiable and usually experience-based.
