School Counselor for 2024-25 School Year - Agate, CO

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Agate, CO. The School Counselor will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students, collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to create a positive and nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
2. Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, challenges, and needs.
3. Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs to support students' academic and personal growth.
4. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop intervention strategies and support plans for students.
5. Serve as a resource for students, parents, and staff regarding mental health, social-emotional learning, and community resources.
6. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' educational goals and accommodations.
7. Stay informed about best practices in school counseling, mental health, and education, and participate in professional development opportunities.
8. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
2. Colorado state licensure or certification as a School Counselor.
3. Previous experience working as a school counselor or in a related role preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
5. Knowledge of counseling techniques, child development, and mental health disorders.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced educational environment.
