School Counselor (Contract Position): Oakland, CA

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team in Oakland, CA. This is a contract position that offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the academic and emotional well-being of students within the school district.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic and personal development needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and positive learning environment.
• Assist students in developing academic and career goals through personalized counseling.
• Provide guidance on social and emotional issues, helping students navigate challenges.
• Implement and evaluate programs aimed at enhancing students' overall well-being.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling.
• Previous experience working as a school counselor is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
