Procare Therapy, a leading provider of educational and healthcare staffing solutions, is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year in Vancouver, WA. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to students within the school setting, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
- Assess and evaluate the healthcare needs of students, including chronic conditions, allergies, medication administration, and emergency response protocols.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs.
- Administer medication and treatments in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, including health assessments, immunization records, and incident reports.
- Educate school staff, students, and parents on health-related topics and preventive measures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special healthcare needs.
- Provide support during school-wide health screenings and vaccination programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a pediatric or school-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare practices, emergency response procedures, and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse healthcare needs of students.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
