School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Case

Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: Now until August (Temporary position)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, [insert hours]

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a school-based 1:1 case in San Diego, CA. This is a temporary position starting immediately and lasting until August. The RN will provide direct care and support to a student with specific medical needs on a one-to-one basis.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized nursing care and support to a student with specific medical needs on a one-to-one basis.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the student's healthcare provider.
• Monitor the student's health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties.
• Assist in managing medical emergencies or situations that may arise during the school day.
• Collaborate with the student's healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other medical professionals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Educate and train school staff members on the student's medical condition and necessary protocols.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for the student at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Experience working as an RN in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of common pediatric medical conditions and treatment procedures.
• Ability to provide compassionate and individualized care to students with special medical needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Current CPR certification.
