ProCare Therapy is actively seeking licensed Registered Nurses to consider for a full-time school nursing opportunity in the Portland, OR area. Our agency has partnered with a school district in Portland which is looking for applicants who can begin in March 2024 and be available to work full-time for the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year. Job Assignment Details:

• Competitive Hourly Pay Rate (38-42$)
  • Specific hourly pay rate is negotiable and will be discussed further during hiring process (dependent on experience, qualifications, etc.)
• Benefits: Insurance Benefits provided (Medical, Vision & Dental)
• Guaranteed Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
• Assignment Start & End Date: ASAP – June 2024 (Opportunity to renew for 24/25 school year)
• Case Load Description: 
  • Hired candidate will be assigned to work primarily in a health office nursing position working with K - 12th Grade students
• Responsibilities: 
  • Performs student health procedures as required throughout the day by student's doctor & medical plan (Health Assessments, Triaging Students, Administering Medications, Diabetic Care, Basic Wound Care, Student Health Plans, etc.)
  • Reports to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school & student health matters.
  • Observes student(s) on a regular basis to detect health needs.
  • Maintains responsibility for emergency care of assigned students.
  • Advises on modification of the education program to meet health needs of individual students.

Job Qualifications:

• Degree: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• License / Certification: Must hold active Oregon RN license
• Previous school nursing experience preferred, but first-time school nurses also welcome!
