School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 1:1 Case

Procare Therapy, a leading healthcare staffing company, is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a school-based 1:1 case in Kansas City, KS. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to a single student on a one-on-one basis, according to their individualized healthcare plan.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by the student's healthcare provider.
• Monitor and assess the student's health status, documenting observations and reporting any changes to the appropriate school personnel and healthcare team.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the student's well-being and educational progress.
• Develop and maintain strong communication channels with the student's family to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• CPR certification and other relevant healthcare certifications.
• Experience working with pediatric patients and/or school settings is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
• Must pass background checks and comply with school district requirements.
