School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Overview: Procare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This position is for a 1:1 case, providing specialized healthcare services to a student within the school setting. As the School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the overall well-being and safety of the student, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a student with specific medical needs on a 1:1 basis.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the student's healthcare provider.
- Monitor the student's health condition and promptly respond to any medical emergencies or concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement an individualized healthcare plan for the student.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding the student's health status, progress, and any pertinent information.
- Educate school staff and students on health-related topics and promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon RN or LPN license.
- Experience working as a nurse in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric nursing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound nursing judgments.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to the student's well-being.
