School Based LVN Job Near Temple City, CA

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Temple City, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to students and staff in a school setting. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and first aid to students and staff in accordance with the nurse practice act and state and federal regulations
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and under the direction of the school nurse
• Monitor and document vital signs, medications, and treatments
•  Maintain accurate and complete health records for all students
• Collaborate with school administrators and staff to promote health and wellness in the school community
• Provide health education and counseling to students and families as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe health office environment

Requirements:

• Current and valid California LVN license
•  Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Bilingual 
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing practice
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents
