RN FOR 1:1 Position Near Scarborough, ME

A school in Scarborough, ME is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 support for a male student with Angelman's Syndrome. The nurse will be responsible for assisting with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including transfers (which require two people), monitoring for seizures and myoclonus tremors, and administering emergency medication as needed. The nurse will work 18 hours per week, from either 8am-12:30pm or 9am-1:30pm depending on the program the student is in.

Requirements:

Active RN license in the state of Maine
Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with mobility challenges and medical needs
Familiarity with administering emergency medication
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with school staff and parents
Experience with Angelman's Syndrome preferred, but not required
Note: This is a temporary position for the duration of a summer program.
