We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant who is passionate about working with young adults in our K-18-22 year old transition program. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical well-being and functional abilities of our students. Under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include assisting in the planning, implementing, and monitoring individualized therapy programs tailored to each student's unique requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement effective physical therapy treatment plans according to students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide hands-on assistance, exercises, and therapeutic activities to enhance students' mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical functioning
• Monitor students' progress and document observations, assessments, and treatment outcomes accurately
• Communicate regularly with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, special educators, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care and alignment of goals for student development
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and treatment areas to guarantee cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency

Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Program (PTA) required; certification/licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant essential
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a school or similar educational setting preferred
• Familiarity with K-18-22 year old transition programs or special education services is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, equipment, and best practices in assisting students with diverse needs
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide feedback to parents/guardians when necessary
• Ability to work independently, manage caseload efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively
