• Schedule: Part-Time, Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Caseload: PreK, Walk-in students, one morning in a local daycare
• Grade Level: PreK
• Job Duties: Attend PreK IEP and Evaluation Team meetings
• Potential for Summer Extension or Renewal

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time PreK Special Education Teacher to join our team in Portsmouth, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to our PreK students, including walk-in students and those attending a local daycare one morning per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for PreK students with diverse needs
• Attend and participate in IEP and Evaluation Team meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions to promote academic, social, and emotional growth
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (PreK-2 or PreK-8)
• Experience working with PreK students with mild, moderate, or severe disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum to meet individual needs
• Passion for making a positive impact on young learners

This part-time position offers the potential for an extension through the summer months or renewal for the following school year.
