School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Position Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Population: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Ages 2-10
Duration: Year-round school
Hourly Pay: $50+ (Competitive)
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about working with children on the Autism Spectrum? We are currently seeking a part-time School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. This position offers a schedule of 20 hours per week, providing services to children aged 2-10 in a year-round school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and functional success
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
