ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of educational staffing and services, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Paraprofessional to join our team in Angwin, CA. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to support students' academic and developmental growth while working in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

Position Overview: As a School Paraprofessional with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support to students and assisting teachers in creating inclusive learning environments. You will work under the supervision of certified teachers and special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with diverse learning needs. This position offers the chance to make a positive impact in students' lives while gaining valuable experience in the field of education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs, both individually and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to students' individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and success.
  • Support students with academic tasks, organization, communication, and social skills development.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior intervention strategies, under the guidance of certified staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement accommodations and modifications to support students' learning and participation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, staff, and families.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational or childcare settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with students with disabilities or special needs preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.
  • Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively with others, and maintain professionalism in a school setting.
