Paraprofessional Needed in the Bridgeview, IL Area

ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of educational staffing solutions, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in their academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with disabilities in various educational settings, such as classrooms or resource rooms
• Provide one-on-one support to students based on their individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Implement strategies and accommodations outlined in students' IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Support students' social and emotional well-being
• Foster independence and promote the development of self-help skills
• Help with classroom management and behavior support as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavior

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred)
• Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and understanding for diverse student needs
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
