Paraprofessional Needed for 23/24 School Year

ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated paraprofessional to work with students in a school setting in Arroyo Grande. As a paraprofessional, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in the classroom and helping students with a variety of needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic and personal needs, such as homework, study skills, and behavior management
• Collaborate with teachers to support students' learning goals and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Help prepare materials and classroom activities, including organizing and maintaining supplies
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
• Implement interventions and accommodations as directed by the teacher or IEP team

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
• Illinois Paraprofessional Or Substitute Certification 
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
